Each artist brings their unique style, inspiration, and perspective, resulting in an exhibition filled with a wide variety of mediums and creative expressions. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious to explore local talent, this show is not to be missed.
Celebrating Our Local Art Community
The upcoming art show is a celebration of the incredible talent right here in our local art community. We’re delighted to be sharing our gallery space with these artists, offering them the opportunity to display their work to a wider audience. The show promises a rich diversity of artistic methods and expressions, from contemporary paintings and intricate sculptures to photography and mixed-media installations.
The Private View launch is happening on September 30th, followed by the public opening on October 1st. We’re so excited to share our space with these incredible artists, whose stories and works highlight the diversity of creativity in our community.
Meet the Artists
Nick Chaffe
Nick is a graphic artist based in Manchester. His work is bold, vibrant, and influenced by the evolution of graphic symbolism, combining iconic imagery with modern interpretations. Nick’s work conjures new meanings through bold colours and striking designs, presented as limited-edition wall art and free-standing sculptures.

Kerry Beall
Kerry blends her background in graphic design and psychotherapy to create mixed-media pieces that explore the human form and the complex layers of emotion and memory. Her work delves into abstract realism, capturing the raw, imperfect beauty of the human experience.

Mr. Nobody
A figurative painter from Marple, Stockport, Mr Nobody paints from life, often attending life drawing and portrait classes. With no formal art training, he’s developed his techniques through years of practice, focusing on capturing the essence of human form and emotion.

Barney Ibbotson

Kim Cannon
Kim is an intuitive abstract artist, deeply inspired by landscapes and woodlands. Through layers, textures, and vibrant colours, she captures the energy of nature. Her piece, inspired by the Loop-lines—a local area with tree-lined walking paths—reflects her love for natural surroundings.

Marie Davies
Marie uses ink and lines to break down traditional seascapes into their basic elements while preserving their familiar colour schemes. Her artistic journey began after a terminal lung disease diagnosis in 2017. Now, Marie sees art as a way to embrace life rather than dwell on illness, bringing joy and colour to her world.
Jayne Rogers
Jayne, a local tattoo artist and owner of Sacred Lines Tattoo Studio, has shifted her creativity to painting. Her recent work, inspired by the blossoms on Monton Green, serves as a tribute to the trees her grandfather adored, which are now being removed due to disease.

Andrew Alan Matthews
Andrew is a proud Mancunian artist whose work reflects his love for Manchester, Salford, and the UK. Rachel Peers
Rachel’s whimsical and thoughtful art is inspired by the idea of finding one’s own “slice of heaven.” Her piece—a big Victoria sponge cake—is part of a collection that celebrates the simple joys in life. Art has been a therapeutic journey for Rachel, especially after the loss of her father, which led to the launch of her business, Don Design Group.

Owner of Cabinet of Curious Creations, Hayley’s art is gothic, and fantastical, and often draws inspiration from horror and sci-fi. Working with various mediums, she creates everything from lino prints to hand-drawn illustrations.

Brenda Hird
Born in Salford, Brenda now lives in Worsley. Brenda began drawing at an early age and resumed her art training in the early 80s obtaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Art History and a PGCE in Art and Design. However, her career took a different path. After retirement, Brenda began painting and drawing again and has since exhibited in various galleries around the North West and Ross on Wye. In 2023 Brenda appeared on Channel 4 in Drawers Off.
Brenda draws visual pleasure from nature. Sun, sea, beaches, countryside, and cold landscapes; all are a constant source of inspiration.
